Specially designed aluminium horizontal sun screens were installed at the north facing elevation optimising shade effect and reducing heat load and air conditioning costs. Adelaide airport also provides a comfortable meeting place and a relaxing environment for travellers upon arrival or prior to departure. Additionally, 55mm pitch extruded aluminium air intake louvres to other faces of the building envelope were installed.
